English
We have solely focused on neat handwriting this week, practising our letter formation and using the correct spellings.
We wrote about our half term and our trip to the library.
Maths
We spotted and created our own repeated patterns. We also sorted criteria into groups.
R.E.
We recapped Jesus being tempted in the desert and how it links to Lent. Mrs Armstrong tempted us with marshmallows, just like Jesus was tempted by the devil.
We also read the passage of Jesus entering Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. We made a welcome poster for Jesus using our new word of 'Hosanna'.
P.E.
We started to learn how to underarm throw and catch. We threw beanbags into hoops and practised throwing to a partner.
Science
We identified signs of Spring on our walk around the school grounds.
P.S.H.E.
We identified what it means to be an active listener. We found that we have to make eye contact, ask questions and make sure that there are no distractions.
Computing
We started our Seesaw unit and focused on how to add captions to our pictures. We chose our favourite page in our sketchbook and wrote a caption.
Art
We began to explore watercolour paint.
Library
We had a great trip to the library! We read lots of different dinosaur books.
Forest School
We made shelters with tarps and mats. We had to secure the tarps onto the branches or find other ways as we weren't using ropes. There was great team-work and collaborations. Some children made lassoes whith some skillful knot-tying.
We identified the different flowers growing in our nature area.
