English

We looked at the story 'Dear Earth' and thought about how we can make the world a better place. We wrote a prediction about the story, described our earth and wrote a short poem.

Phonics

Some of us have learnt the dge digraph making the j sound in hedge and the ce digraph making a s sound in choice.

Some of us have been learning the different ways to make an or sound. We couldn't believe that there are ten different ways! We focused on oor in poor, ore in shore and al in walk

Maths

We identified halves of shapes and objects. We learnt to use the 'one for you, one for me' technique to share equally between two groups. We also used part-whole models to show this practically.

See our pictures here.

R.E.

We completed our Pentecost topic by learning how to spread the Good News, just like the disciples did. We created our own list of ways that we can help others.

Computing

We are becoming super coders! We learnt how to use a loop block to make our instructions more simple.

Geography

We sorted animals into their habitats, whether they live in a cold climate or a hot climate. We also talked about how animals can adapt to their environment.

PSHE

We thought about times where we have shown that we can relate to other people, through being kind and caring. We also thought about who we might need to relate to in our lives.

Art

We made our own birds! It was great to see so many different ideas.

See our pictures here.

PE

We had a fantastic cricket session with Dave. We learnt how to knock over wickets and how to use a cricket bat.

See our pictures here.
