Home Practice
Sumdog challenges
Please catch up on previous Sumdog challenges.
Counting - Practise the counting to 20 game with your family. Try and count backwards too!
Reading - We've had a drop in the number of children changing their reading books so please keep reading at home.
Please remember to bring book bags in each day.
English
We continued to read Paddington. We ordered the story using pictures and drawings and re-wrote the story neatly.
We also started to write about a special person in our life. We described them using adjectives and identified why they are special to us.
Phonics
Some of us have recapped the different oo spellings.
Some of us have been learning the five different ur spellings: ur in fur, ir in girl, er in feather, or in work and ear in heard.
Maths
We measured length, width and height using cubes and rulers.
R.E.
We learnt that there are Christians all over the world and that we should work together to make the world a better place.
PSHE
We talked about how sometimes reaching our goals might take a long time, but if we persevere we can achieve them. We wrote about a goal that might be hard to achieve and how we can ask for help getting there.
We also started to talk about different emotions.
Art
We used different materials to collage minibeasts.
PE
We continued to develop our overarm throwing skills. We threw to a partner and played noughts and crosses.
We also had a great tennis session. We worked brilliantly in our teams!
Computing
We learnt how to use two instructions inside the loop block to shorten our instructions.
