English
This week our story has been ‘Winnie the Witch’.
We have written a description for Winnie using adjectives, performed out loud becoming the character of Wilbur the cat, written our own speech bubble by Wilbur and sequenced the story.
Phonics
Some of us have learnt phase 5 ph in elephant, ew in chew, ew in few and oe in toe.
Some of us have been comparing phase 3 and phase 5 sounds.
Some of us have been recapping phase 2 sounds.
Maths
We continued to recognise numbers between 20 and 30.
We have explored different equipment for counting in tens.
We have absolutely loved listening to two songs this week to help our learning. Here are the links if you want to listen at home: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uedvwH6Ay18 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwcCyXsGN7E&list=RDcwcCyXsGN7E&start_radio=1
R.E.
We said the words of the Our Father together and recognised how God is important to us all.
In Prayer and Liturgy we focused on Peace as well as looking after God’s World. We sang a beautiful worship song about looking after everything God has made for us.
Computing
We learnt how to upload our own pictures onto Seesaw.
Art
We sketched objects from Mrs Armstrong's home. We took our time and concentrated on adding detail.
Science
We conducted a smelling experiment. We had to guess which smells were in the jar!
P.E.
This week we have played small games using our kicking skills as well as having a go at shooting in the goal!
