English

This week we read the story 'How to Catch a Star' by Oliver Jeffers. We used the connective 'but' in our sentences, drew a story map and re-wrote the story by ourselves.

Phonics

Some of us have started to learn the phase 3 digraphs.

Some of us have continued to recap the phase 3 trigraphs.

Some of us recapped the split digraphs that we have learnt up to now and then learnt the split digraph o_e in stone.

Maths

We compared length using 'longer' and 'shorter' and compared height using 'taller' and 'shorter'.

See our pictures here.

R.E.

We read The Visitation story and spoke about how Angel Gabriel told Mary that her cousin Elizabeth was also going to have a baby. We wrote in speech bubbles and learnt the Hail Mary together.

In our 'Celebration of the Word' we focused on two words - trust and faith. We realised that they are quite similar and that we need to trust people, just like God trusts us.

P.S.H.E.

We talked about how we have a busy place, a middle place and a happy place. We drew pictures of our happy place.

P.E.

We learnt how to mirror each other's movements whilst pretending to be a robot.

We also had a brilliant session from Freddy Fit!

See our pictures here.

Art

We drew flowers on top of our handprints from last week. They look amazing!

See our pictures here.

Science

We sorted animals into their groups (mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, insects and fish).

History

We compared toys from the present-day. We wrote what was the same about them and what was different.
