Sumdog challenges
Maths - Measuring length
Phonics - High frequency words
Counting - Measure different items around your house however you can and count in either twos, fives or tens to find the answer.
Reading - We've had a drop in the number of children changing their reading books so please keep reading at home.
Please remember to bring book bags in each day.
English
We started to read our new book - Paddington! We wrote some super sentences about Paddington, wrote our own sentences for making a marmalade sandwich and then made our own sandwich following the instructions.
Phonics
All of us have been practising putting sound buttons on our words ready for our phonics screening.
Maths
We measured mass using the balance scales and measured height and length using cubes.
R.E.
We learnt two new words this week - parish and community. We thought about all of the different people that make up the Church parish and wrote questions for people like Father Michael and Mrs Wilson, who are a part of our parish.
Science
We used our senses to identify any signs of summer.
PSHE
We learnt how to set a goal that we can achieve as a class. We decided to set a goal of using lead-ins in our handwriting.
We also talked about how change can be tricky to overcome. We drew pictures of ways that we can make ourselves feel better if change gets too much for us.
Art
We sketched minibeasts and then used pastels to add detail and colour.
We also made Father's Day cards for our Dads.
PE
This week, we learnt how to throw overarm. We threw beanbags as far as we could and practised throwing into hoops.
