We spent the week planning and making a dragon fact file which included what they look like, where they live and what they eat.

We read our writing to reception and year 6!

See our pictures here.

Maths

We practised counting in twos, fives and tens. We practically made the groups before counting the whole.

R.E.

We continued our RSHE by recognising how we show love to people in our family.

We also made our Lenten promises.

Science

We used the torches to see if light travels through objects. We learnt the words 'transparent' and 'opaque' and used them to describe the objects.

P.S.H.E.

We started our 'Relate' unit, which focuses on how we relate to others. We identified a person that we relate to and chose a character strength that we use with them.

Computing

We sorted different scenarios into 'fine to share', 'it depends' and 'not ok to share'. We learnt that many people can access our information online, so we need to be careful!

Art

We made Valentine's Day cards.

Forest School

We stayed in our lodge today. We listened to a story called Love Grows Everywhere.

We learnt how to make a forest eye. We made a cross with the lolly sticks and then carefully wrapped the wool and turned the sticks. Great fine motor control was shown and also fabulous determination and concentration.

We added a wooden heart shape to our decoration.

We also had time to look at some of our books which are all about nature.
