Sumdog challenges

Maths - Counting objects

Phonics - Reception revision 1

Don't worry if you can't access Sumdog yet (including log ins). We will be going through this at our Meet the Teacher on Thursday.

Counting - Please practise counting from 0 to 10.

Reading - Please try and read at least three times a week.

Please remember to bring book bags in each day.

English

We read a beautiful book called 'Find Your Happy'. We talked about who or what makes us happy and all had a go at writing a sentence to identify what makes us happy.

Maths

We have been learning how to use lots of different maths manipulatives: tens frames, counters and base ten. We practically made different numbers up to 20.

See our pictures here.

R.E.

We read the Creation Story in Genesis and talked about how God made our world a day at a time. We had a lot of fun making our own world using dabbers.

P.E.

We practised our underarm and overarm throwing.

Science

We went outside to spot signs of Autumn. We found orange leaves and lots of different minibeasts.

Geography

We talked about the differences between a rural and an urban place.

Computing

We learnt how to use an iPad. We dragged and dropped objects using our new skills.

Art

We sketched our self-portraits using mirrors and our new sketching pencils.

See our pictures here.
