Animal Club Visit
On Tuesday we had a visit from the Animal Club and we learned about lots of new and different animals. We were taught how to hold and stroke them and learned lots of animal facts about a ferret, geckos, stick insects, sun beetles, a blue tongued skink and a snake. We were all very brave when we held the animals and insects.
RE
The week we revisited the song we learnt last week and we looked at images of Jesus in Mexico and Australia. We discussed how they were different to images of Jesus in England.
Maths
In Maths this week we have begun to learn about the concept of time. We have been looking at ordinal numbers (numbers that are specifically used to show position or order). We have also developed our use of sequencing language such as first, then, next by using the story of The Three Little Pigs.

Understanding the World – Science
This week studied the differences and similarities of a zoo and a farm habitat. We learnt that although both a zoo and a farm need somebody to feed the animals, the types of animals are not the same in both types of habitats. In the zoo we learnt that animals tend to come from far away or exotic places and that animals in a farm are more familiar to us.

Expressive Art and Design
In Art this week we created our own fossils using pebbles from the beach and chalk pens.

PE
This week in PE we shared the whole school experience of Dance From The Heart – we had been practising very hard for this event and our practice was shown to our parents.
