Drawing Club
We read Superworm, we discussed superworm as a character describing him as kind and helpul. We looked at the setting of the story and designed our own garden for him to live in.
The children also had a go at categorising different minibeasts with wings, no wings, legs and no legs. They cut the pictures out and stuck them on the correct section and added a label independently.

Maths
We have been exploring shape this week.
We learnt about 2D and 3D shapes, learning the names of the shapes and some of their properties.
Art
In Art, we cut out different things from a catalogue. We then tried to create our own story from the pictures we have used.
We heard lots of great story language from the children when retelling the stories they had made.
PE
We have started a new unit in PE, all linked to the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.
Today, we played the bean game, moving in lots of different ways to warm up our bodies, then we all got a magic bean bag, we explored balancing it on different body parts.
Our main focus of our lesson was to practise underarm throwing, thinking about using the opposite arm to leg as we throw.
Forest School
We has a lovely muddy time in our nature area. We found snails and worms, we made some delicious mud creations, we noticed all the flowers growing and we listened to the birds.
Make sure to check out our galleries to see all our brilliant learning from this week!
