Phonics

We learnt the x, y and z sounds.

Drawing Club

 We read the story 'Supertato, Run, Veggies, Run.'

We thought of our own fruit and vegetables to take part in the supermarket sports day.

Maths

We have been learning how to partition numbers.

We used animals to share the whole number into the fields.

We listened to the Bible story about Jesus welcoming the little children.

We talked about Jesus loving everyone and coming to earth for us all.

Expressive Art and Design

We have been doing still life drawings.

We discussed what we could see first and tried to take our time.

Understanding the World

We discussed the role of fire fighters this week. We investigated  what they wear and why it is important.

A big thank you to Mrs Bannister who came and visited our class to talk about being an Occupational Therapist.

My Happy Mind

We continued with our topic of Appreciate.

Forest School

We listened to a story called The King of the Birds.

We stayed in our nature area. There was loads of child- initiated learning, the waterfall was an apple slide today! There was decorating of the Christmas tree and some great stick wrapping.
