Welcome to Reception's Friday Blog!
Phonics
Mrs Robinson's group have been revisiting the oa and igh sounds.
Mrs Dixon's group have been focusing on the air and ure sounds.
Drawing Club
In Drawing Club we read the story, Room on the Broom.
We have been drawing pictures of the witch and labelling her and we have drawn an animal that could join the witch on her broomstick.
Maths
We have started to learn numbers beyond 10.
This week it was the numbers 14,15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20.
We have been making them using lots of different equipment and investigating how many tens there are in a number.
RE
We listened to the story of Pentecost again and described how the disciples felt when the Holy Spirit came.
We talked about how we would feel and chose an emoji face to talk about.
Expressive Art and Design
We have listened to the story of the Kings Pants. We loved how the King had so many different kinds, so we have designed our own pair for him!
We have also been making our own watercolour planets. See the photos here!

This week we have launched our mice!
