Welcome to Reception's Friday Blog!

 Phonics

 This week we have been learning the m, d and g sounds.

We have been talking about items that begin with those sounds, like mat, dog and garden.

Drawing Club

In Drawing Club, we listened to different versions of the The Little Red Hen.

We then drew our own hens and thought of new ingredients to put in our own bread.

Maths

This week we continued to build number land.

We have been looking at and discussing the number 2.

This week we have been exploring what a Baptism is.

We looked Mrs Robinson's baptism items and talked about what they are. We then made our own Baptism candles.

Understanding the World

This week we have been looking at pictures from when we were babies and talking about how we have changed.

We have also been exploring our sense of taste.

Expressive Art and Design

We have been making our own colour books for the primary colours.

PE

We have been practising our under arm throwing.

We were also very lucky to have Year 2 come and visit us and read some owl facts to us - see the photos here.
