Drawing Club
We read ‘Aliens Love Underpants’ by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort and we wrote a letter to the Aliens telling them that we had designed and made some underpants for them. We will be taking our letter home so that they do not take OUR underpants!

RE
We have been discussing how the Good News of Jesus was lived out by early Christians.
We concentrated on discussing kind deeds so that others wanted to join the Christian community
Maths
This week we have cemented our previous learning about teen numbers with practical activities which have demonstrated our knowledge.
We have reiterated that a teen number is ‘one ten and ….. more’.

Understanding the World - History
In History, we compared monarchs from history such as Queen Elizabeth II with our current King Charles. We noticed that although the person has changed throughout history, the symbols of monarchy have remained the same with the same crown being used at the Coronation since 1661 when it was made for King Charles II.
Expressive Art and Design
This week in Art and Design we have designed and decorated our own underpants following the reading of ‘Aliens Love Underpants’ by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort.
PE
This week we have focussed on practising for our Sports Day which we held on Wednesday this week. During our Sports Day we raced in a Bean Bag relay, a Sack race, an Egg and Spoon race, we had a throwing challenge a Teddy Bear race and a running race. Not only did we do all this to an audience for the first time on Wednesday afternoon but we also completed all the races in the morning for our practice.
Look on our YouTube Channel St Oswald's TV for a video of our Sports Day!
PSHE
Once again, we undertook our Right Start programme this week. We finished our course and each child was given a certificate on completion. We now know how to Stop, Look and Listen before crossing a road safely.
We have also been learning about goal setting and we are setting our own goals for growth.
Forest School
We worked in our log circle. We put the elastic bands onto the frame. This is really good for developing our fine motor skills. We were allowed to pick grasses, flowers and leaves to make our weaving. We also did some den building, measuring, mud cooking and bug hunting.
