Phonics
We learnt the digraphs th and ng
We have been reading and writing them in words, for example; thin, wing
Drawing Club
We read the story Farmer Duck. This week the children had to think of a disguise for the farmer to return to the farm without the animals seeing him.
We also drew and labelled our own farm independently.

Maths
We have been learning about subtraction.
We have been using the part, whole model to help us visually see taking away different amounts from the whole.
RE
We learnt the story of 'Jesus Feeding the 5000'
We made our own baskets and filled them with the fish and bread.

Understanding the World
We discussed the role of the farmer.
We have been learning about all the ways that a farmer helps us, including growing fruit and vegetables for us to eat, feeding the animals and how they harvest the food.

PE
This week we got the climbing frame out, the children had a go at climbing up, over and through the frame. We travelled up the elavated bench and jumped off. We also practised our fundamental skills in balancing, hopping and underarm throwing.
Make sure to check out our galleries to see all our brilliant learning!
Forest School
We stayed inside this week due to the strong wind.
We listened to a story about trees and how they change through the seasons and then the cycle continues every year.
We practised tying knots and did some stick wrapping. We showed our amazing imaginations when talking about what our special sticks could do.
