This week we have been writing our own Lighthouse Keeper stories. We are going to read our stories to the children in Year 2 and Reception so we will have a real audience!

Some of our book titles are... The Lighthouse Keeper Lost his Glasses, The Lighthouse Keeper's New Cat, The Lighthouse Keeper Goes to Hospital!

In Maths we have been learning how to use our friends of 10 to solve tricky number problems and worked don explaining our working out. Super maths this week!

In between the showers, we got outside for P.E. and practised our Athletics skills. We are seeing some huge improvement from September so well done everybody.

On our round the world trip we stopped off in Nigeria exploring all the different places including cities, forests and desert. We also designed some African patterns in Art using repeating pattterns and contrasting colours.

In R.E .we had a quiet reflection to celebrate the end of our topic of Holidays and Holy Days. We used our fire-coloured streamers to represent the coming of the Holy Spirit.

We started our new topic called Being Sorry and discussed making good choices,

In Science we started a new topic on materials by making a collection of objects and sorting them into groups and saying how we had sorted them. We began to discuss materials and their properties.

In French we continued to practise the vocabulary for clothes with games, songs and stories.

In Golden Assembly we celebated all our learners including our Daily Miler which this week was Ronnie!
