Reception 6th May 2022

Date: 6th May 2022 @ 3:36pm

This week we have been exploring under the sea. We have started our book 'Commotion in the Ocean'

We have really enjoyed looking at different sea animals and watching real life clips of them in their enviroments.

In Maths, we have been practising doubling and halving numbers.

We have done lots of practising for our first sports day, we are really good at cheering on our friends as they race.

This week in French, we recapped numbers to 10 and body parts and learned how to say if a body part was hurting. We re-read the Hungry Caterpillar story in French, listening for when the caterpillar had a bad tummy.

In Science, we looked at some tadpoles from Mrs Cliffe's pond and then went up to our school pond to see if the frog spawn we saw a couple of weeks ago had hatched. We managed to see 1 tadpole - the rest must have been hiding!
We'll check again in a couple of weeks to look for changes, maybe with some underwater viewers!

Online Safety Update
Lately, we have seen a huge increase in the number of children accessing the Roblox gaming platform. This includes children in our infant classes. This week's guide dives into what to expect your children to find when they use Roblox including any potential risks they may meet. These risks include in-app purchases and chatting to strangers online.
