DT and PE Stars!

We have had a brillant week of learning this week. Thank you for all supporting our DT event. The children were amazing and had a fantastic time designing and preparing their very own afternoon tea. They showed off their DT skillls and enjoyed keeping you all busy with their active playtime.

This week we also finished Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The children have been emmersed in a world of wizardry of the last few weeks and created some stunning pieces of writing. Well done everyone!

In our Maths learning this week we have learned how to use partitioning to help us bridge 10 and 100. We also looked at using this strategy when finding the difference.

As part of our computing topic on animation, we have been creating some whiteboard animations. Keep and eye on our galleries for some of our creations. We have started to plan our own animations using toys, action figure, doll or lego. The children have been asked to bring in 2 'characters' to star in their animation. If these could be sent in by Wednesday as we will start filming that afternoon. If you don't have something, we can use some of the figures we have at school.

Home Practice

Continue to read regulary, especially over the holidays. A daily 10-15 minute read is the key!

Continue to access the training feature on the Sumdog platform for maths and spelling. A little practise everyday helps to embed learning and promotes fluency in both spelling amd maths.
