We had a brilliant day in the professional kitchens at Runshaw making chicken curry, vegetable samosas, kebabs, poppadoms and dips, naan bread, salad and rice. Some of us learnt how to set up a restaurant by polishing cutlery, laying tables and folding napkins. The staff and students were really helpful and kind – not one of us cut ourselves even though the knives were huge! After lunch, we were treated to a talk by an Indian lady called Neetal. Some of us dressed up in saris and we all enjoyed the Bollywood dancing. A great way to work off our delicious lunch!
We would like to thank Jenny Livesey and Cath Wiggins very much for organising an excellent day.
