Well that went quickly!
We all arrived safely home, much richer for the experience. Everyone had a fantastic time thanks greatly to the incredible hospitality of our French hosts. A HUGE thanks to them.
These are a just a few of the hundreds of the pictures we have. We are getting more from staff and children so if anyone wants to see them all send Mr Heller (firstname.lastname@example.org) your email address and he will send you a link to the “cloud” file they are stored on.
If you have any you want to share please let Mr Heller know.
Another really full day in Nîmes. We didn’t go to the school today because they don’t go in on Wednesday. We went straight into town on the tram-bus. We split into groups and then we visited all the sights. We saw a film in an ancient Roman temple and sat in an amphitheatre where gladiators used to fight. They use it for bull fight running and music concerts now.
In the afternoon we had a civic reception with the major and all got a present.
Tomorrow we’re going into school. I wonder if it will be like St Oswalds!
Hope it’s all Ok at home….
The French group
Hi from France. We’ve had a wonderful start to the week. We’ve already had two meals with our host families and everyone is trying to make use of everything they learned in Mrs Powell’s lessons. Only Mr Heller is struggling. Today we had a day taking in French culture, on the Beach, and then had a trip down a canal on the Camargue. We saw some of the famous horses. If the pictures don’t download you’ll have to wait until we get back to see them… But we’ll try. Tomorrow we are going to look around Nimes. We’ve had a bit of a shower today, well a huge thunder storm. Hopefully it’ll be better tomorrow. It could spoil the picnic. We’ll try to upload another report tomorrow. See you all soon The French group.
